James is a loving husband and father of two who enjoys the overwhelming support of his family. James understands the importance of advancing efficient use of city resources to better serve the community and help  keep families safe, healthy, and supported.  When he is not advocating for his clients or engaging with the community, James enjoys time with his family, maintaining an active lifestyle.

James has been in public service for over 20 years. He joined the Marine Corps in 2003, where he spent nine years on active duty before transitioning to the MN Army National Guard where he remains to this day.  James is also a proud member of the Maple Grove Fire Department and has actively participated in the I-94 Chamber of Commerce, which he intends to continue on his return from deployment.
